Rachel Binx

Rachel Binx is a data visualizer, developer, designer, and object peddler. She has created Monochōme, Gifpop, and Meshu, three small companies that explore creating one-off physical objects from data that people finds meaningful. Previously, she worked as a design technologist for Stamen Design, where she built projects for clients such as MTV, Facebook, and Oprah.

In this talk, Rachel will explore her evolving approach to creating visualizations, including the interfaces on Meshu and Monochome, and culminating in her work at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory on mission operations tools.
