NYPL Labs is an interdisciplinary team working to reformat and reposition the Library's knowledge for the Internet age. They're focused on enabling new uses of collections and data, collaborating with users on the creation of digital resources, and applying new technologies to library problem-solving.
Rachel is a data visualizer, art historian, mathematician, and GIF empress. Her endeavors include Monochōme, Gifpop, and Meshu, all of which allow folks to generate customized objects. There's a special place in her heart for location data.
Nick is a new media artist, designer, and experimenter. Currently the Minister of Interactive Art at Design I/O, he creates immersive environments that bring wonderment and provoke discovery through exploration.
